I drove six hours and can tell you I would have rather listened to this on the radio than witnessed it in person because I would not have been able to see a team just go out and go thru the motions.
Like I say I've been to games where they fought hard and lost and that was O.K. with me. This was not O.k. by me and I can honestly say they didn't deserve this game had they pulled it out.
I will say that I saw more effort in the previous games and the losses stacking up have obviously disheartened this group as MPF stated. I think this does show that we lack that warrior leadership mentality and need a player that won't tolerate what I saw Sunday and will stay right in everybody's face.
Maybe I'm old fashioned but I believe in a daggum HUDDLE because everybody comes together before every play and all the players are right there seeing the effort and sweat and the pain and it MOTIVATES you on the next play.
I know it did when I played. Get in that huddle and one of your big lineman is holding his side in pain with blood running down between his eyes. Man, I wanted to go knock someone's head off!
Our guys stand around between plays looking at the big screen or over to the sidelines and rarely get TOGETHER and then get AFTER IT for crying out loud.
