Believe he is currently 5th highest paid per year. He’s the best QB in football so I could see why he thinks he deserves more. You see teams like the Saints (or even the Chiefs) have success with their backup QB in the game, I don’t think we would have that same success if Rodgers were to have to go out. We’ve seen how ugly that can get.

What did he do on Sunday that showed he deserves a new contract? Take responsibility for his leadership position on the team?

What I hope would happen would be if he agrees to a pay cut in order to afford brining in some real talent, so that he can get one last shot at a championship.
And if I were him, a stipulation that if he did agree to a pay cut, that they would actually use it for bringing talent in.
He’s got more money then anyone could use up in a lifetime. You can only spend so much.
But I have no idea what will happen.
If he asked for a pay raise, I think that would be the end of his time here, as the Packers couldn’t afford it with the new salary cap figures.
