Another 🐿️ moment for me. Why is it so hard to catch the ball? My dad instilled the following rules into me. You're gonna get hit anyway, so come down with it and if you can get one hand on it, you should catch it. I was never the biggest dude on the field and never had issues catching the ball. I got my ass drilled, spilled and leveled all the time. I loved the look on dudes face after leveling me and I still had the ball. Which makes me wonder, do the QB's throw it too hard in the NFL? I don't know. I just feel this is a skill that one could easily learn throughout practice.

That might be a big part of the issue. While watching games, I remember Favre being accused of throwing too hard. It was said he and other QBs didn't have the finesse needed for some of their throws. All his balls came at you like it was shot of of a gun. They then talked about receivers and their broken fingers. Many came during practice.
