I just want to make sure I got this straight....despite the turnovers, and the fact that the offense scored 35 points against the top rated defense....ts our offense's fault?!?!?!?
It is within the rules and some teams find it to be a great strategy, that the defense plays aggressively and actually forces "3 and outs", as our defense did in the first half...(sarcasm font)
If you want to get off the field... STOP THEM!!!
What Frank Reich and the Colts, and likely the rest of the league, woke up to is that we can't stop the run. In the 3rd quarter, they ran the ball on 9 consecutive plays!!! To illustrate, the play selection
- RUN
-RUN
-RUN
-RUN
-RUN
-RUN
-RUN
-RUN
-RUN
To add further injury to insult...literally, IIRC a couple of their O line got dinged up and they were playing with back-ups.
The offense can't do a helluvalot about 10 play and 12 play drives
Let's take a step back, have a little more perspective, and recognize the biggest problem.
