Packers tried trading for defensive lineman before deadline

The Packers tried to trade for DalvinTomlinson before the deadline. The trade deadline came and went earlier this week and the Green Bay Packers didn't make any moves. That alone isn't surprising, but unlike in many years in the past, the Packers were interested in making a trade to improve the roster on both sides

Sure couldn’t have hurt.
I wish for once we wouldn’t hear “Gute tried to trade for....”
And we’d hear “Gute successfully traded for....”

I think this has been the case going back to the Uncle Ted days. The other team isn't interested at a reasonable price but if GB is willing to overpay then they will agree. GB is not willing to overpay so fans lose their minds at the lack of activity.

Just because you bring in outside help it doesn't mean the team is going to be any better. Just look at Preston Smith. He sure hasn't been worth the price this season.
