I wonder what the owners privity reactions were to this, especially the Dolphins (also did he send him off of it ahead of time(not that he had a choice)).

Back in the day all the players were inside the locker room for the anthem. I kinda wish they would go back to it. It removes the drama.

Kneeling for criminals that resisted arrest and therefore ended up injured or dead, thus vilifying the police.
Is that really “racial injustice?”
If you are stupid enough to commit a crime, give yourself up when the cops catch you. Then you don’t get hurt. Pretty easy solution if you ask me.
Let them stay indoors for the anthem.

Earlier I read that there are two anthems to be played before the games. Hockey does too ... they sing the Canadian anthem and USA anthem. Seemed silly to me at first, but then I thought well OK I get it because some teams are based in Canada and some in USA. Makes sense.

For NFL, I think all the teams are in the USA. So, why is it we need a second anthem? And what is this anthem?

I can't shake this feeling of division as being American is the one thing we all could get behind and unite behind ... and now it feels (depending on the anthem of course) that could be divided.

I just wish I had an escape from all of this. I used to turn to sports, but it seems I need to find something else for an escape. Maybe I should buy a boat.

Black National Anthem. Written in 1919.

Lift Every Voice and Sing
James Weldon Johnson, J. Rosamond Johnson
Lift ev'ry voice and sing
'Til earth and heaven ring
Ring with the harmonies of Liberty
Let our rejoicing rise
High as the list'ning skies
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea
Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun
Let us march on 'til victory is won
Stony the road we trod
Bitter the chastening rod
Felt in the days when hope unborn had died
Yet with a steady beat
Have not our weary feet
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed?
We have come over a way that with tears has been watered
We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered
Out from the gloomy past
'Til now we stand at last
Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast
God of our weary years
God of our silent tears
Thou who has brought us thus far on the way
Thou who has by Thy might
Led us into the light
Keep us forever in the path, we pray
Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee
Lest, our hearts drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee
Shadowed beneath Thy hand
May we forever stand
True to our God
True to our native land

Two anthems.....just one more thing to divide blacks from whites.
Just what we need.
And I’ve heard some say “the flag is just a flag, what’s the big deal if people disrespect it?”
Yet down south they can’t fly the southern flag, because it’s “racist”.
I thought a flag is just a flag?
Oh....that’s right.....it depends on what side you are on.
No country is perfect. In Africa there are tribes that kill and eat their enimies.
The “native Americans” here butchered other tribes. Not all were peaceful living people.
Yet some here paint the United States as some horrible innocent black people killing country.
It’s not even close to the truth.
Again, blacks kill so many other blacks, yet that fact is ignored and the police are made out to be nazis, going around murdering totally innocent blacks.
BLM......but ONLY if killed by police.
