I came to grips that Rodgers would retire elsewhere a while ago. Brady is with Tampa, Peyton went to Denver, Favre went to Minnesota. That's just how the league works now.
To play devil's advocate, Rob Demovsky said on the DP Show Friday morning that a source close to Rodgers still thinks Rodgers will retire a Packer and he said this after the Love pick.
I also think Rodgers is perceptive of the backlash Brett Favre received for not helping Rodgers (when he was developing). Therefore, I suspect Rodgers will help Jordan Love.
I also think Rodgers is a smart guy who is mindful about his body. While he wants to play long-term, he's had a lot of concussions. How do you not think about life in your 50s and 60s? What is that going to look like?
