Neither one should be fired but I would like to see a shakeup in the coaching staff particularly on the defensive side.
I would also like to see an offensive coordinator with some imagination who actually coordinates the offense and calls the plays hired.

Well, at least we know of the general consensus of opinions here at these forums. I wonder how this sample correlates to the wider Green Bay fans.

Neither should be fired. Although if Sanders is back next year, he will be the downfall of McCarthy.

Add either ZBing goes or Campen / Fontenot need to go.. Pass blocking we seem to be okay, maybe a little weak in stunt pickups but overall for the most part we can pass block. Run block... hmm it is amazing we get as many yards as we do. we need to start developing oline players quicker and more balanced players.

On the defensive side.. Washington is a keeper, and Hairston ... I think it might be time to join the jobs of Hairston and Nunn.. get that group playing as one.. several times I seen what appears to be mistakes in gap reads.. on one of Slaton's bigger runs off right tackle.. Kampman was set up with outside contain and Pickett collapsed inside creating a mammoth gap, didn't help that Hawk got pinned in by Leach.. it wasn't even close.

I know both men have made some mistakes in the past. Who hasn't? I am not ready to throw them under the bus for the lousy season this year. But there had better be some signs of improvement next year or I will be rethinking my opinion.

at least people aren't calling for Thompson to be fired. and last year, McCarthy was the best coach ever. ever.

ugh.

don't fire either of them.

You know what they say, you are only as good as the players that are given to you.

I have said it before, the playmakers on this team are the wide receivers, get all of them on the field and see what happens!!!!

Can't hurt now, win the last 3 and see where The Pack is in the standings!!!!

You never know, stranger things have happened.

Someone explain to me, with all the defeatest attitudes that are coming through on this board, why would you want the same guys running the show next year?

Go Pack...8-8 much better than 5-11!!!

Bozz this wasn't meant to say you have a defeatest attitude, your post was the one I just happened to quote.

fair enough, but I don't see how one who says that McCarthy and Thompson should remain in there position has a defeatist mentality.

I was talking about those saying the season is over, some want to lose the next 3 to get a better draft pick, things like that.

Packers have underachieved this year, seems like anything that could go wrong has at the worst possible moment.

Basically the same team as last year, the big ? was AR, he has had some bad moments but has performed better than a lot of QB's in the league this year, I don't know, maybe a change in the coaching staff or GM isn't that far down the road.
Only time will tell.

Seems like the teams who have beaten The pack this year have always had the answer at the end.
