David, as I have said previously, I think he threw the wrong guys under the bus (though Rodgers is the face of the team, so I suppose that's understandable); but I find it encouraging that toward the end of the season he was at least starting to take players to task. I wish he'd take a little more personal responsibility for the team's performance, but the fact is there's only so much a coach can do. It's the players on the field who have to execute in the end.

I wish we could have heard a tirade against the defense just once.

Agreed.. at least he started to call players upon their actions.. and I truly believe he did call the incorrect players out to this point.. but again.. progress in at least showing the fans / owners of this team that things aren't going unchecked as some appear to be.

Precisely. And I think the wholesale slaughter and replacement of the coaching staff sent the same message. I think this season's failure largely fell on their shoulders, though Mike McCarthy certainly had to shoulder a fair portion of the blame for his conservative playcalling in the red zone and toward ends of halves.

Neither.

i am so sick of undereducated Wisconsinite football fans moaning and groaning every goddamn time the Packers have a less than fantastic season. America is sucky, get rid of the president! The world is sucky, get rid of humanity! ad nauseum.

*rolls eyes, furiously*

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

I think you have it backwards. Demanding the best is not a bad thing. If less people had the attitude you do and instead of sitting back thinking "this is "sucky" and I just have to deal with it" put some effort into changing things we'd be alot better off.

To many people have the disenfranchised attitude.

There's nothing wrong with expecting the most out of yourself. And doing what you can.
To me, it's when you think you have ALL the answers and if just given the chance YOU would fix everything that that is just as bad as being apathetic.

There are certain things you can change, and SHOULD try. Then there are just plain and simple some things you have no control over.
I understand why some fans get over heated when the Packers lose. You think i don't? (Yes....i do!) But i look at the whole situation, not ONLY what the end results were.
We lost 10 games last year. Unacceptable to me. That said, it wasn't because the whole team sucked and the coach and GM should be fired. It was our D, and ST's letting us down almost every time.
At the end of ANY season, there is only ONE team that has bragging rights, and got it all right. ONE out of 32.
We must strive for perfection, even if it's unattainable. I GET that.
For me at least, this coming season is THE season for me. Unless there are a bunch of huge injuries that cost us to make the playoffs, then i will be jumping on the "time for a change" bandwagon.
I have been patient, and for me, NOW is the time to PROVE to me either way if we are headed in the right direction.
No more off season Favre distractions, a new D put in place, nows the time to show us what ya got.

Really? Better off? Ok. Keep fighting the good fight and making our team better by repeatedly saying how much it sucks on a message board.

Ok i didn't want to start a thread about this but i got the Packer dvd set and i'm watching the MNF game between us and the skins (boy bringing back memories) and this may sound strange but maybe a few losing years will get us back to the fun fans that we were back then. Back in the days when we were just happy to be on MNF. BTW tv sucked back then compared to now lol. Damn Harlan Huckleby sucked this nite lol. Also this is fun watching they didn't have this west coast offense its air the ball deep on most passes. Wow i didn't realize how strong Dickeys arm is.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

If Kornheiser is still on MNF, I want NOTHING to do with that accursed broadcast. I'd rather listen to a pack of hyenas being tickled to death for 4 hours. I will never be happy about a MNF appearance until that hyperbole spewing bastard is gone and forgotten.

Not to mention Favre fellator. I can't imagine Kornheiser and Madden in the same booth together. The slobber would short out the audio equipment.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.

buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
