During the 2011 season we scored less than 24 points just one time during the regular season. Relatively speaking, 2011 we won pretty and 2019 we won ugly. Many of us were happy for the W's, but felt the lack of defense was going to get us slammed in the playoffs.

2011
1st in takeaways
26th in defensive 3rd down percentage.
11th in time of possession (offense)
1st in points for
14th in points against
20th in defensive red zone
3rd in offensive red zone

2019
7th in takeaways
23rd in defensive 3rd down percentage.
11th in time of possession (offense)
15th in points for
9th in points against
5th in time of possession
6th in defensive red zone
13th in offensive red zone

Which team would you have preferred and why? 2011 or 2019?

You were asked to pick one! Why? Because we all had opinions of 2011 BEFORE we knew how the season ended.

I think you'd prefer the 2011 team, the stats clearly show they have a dominant offense they just need the defense to step up. #1 in turnovers show they atleast have some potential to do so.

2019 stats are honestly better than I expected but imo it shows a consistently above average team that doesnt do anything especially well. Which if you think about the season besides the defense having a few dominate showings is pretty accurate.

2019 team is a little more like the 2010 team that ran the table. The record is fine but the regular season games more than a little frustrating at times. Making the playoffs was the first step. How they preform in the post season is the real determination of the success of the team.

BTW, people who ask for the rest of the board members to give THEIR opinion without the original poster first stating his/hers shouldn't complain too much about the answers that are given. Man up. Walk out on the limb and tell us your stance. πŸ˜›
