I didn’t know watch the game last night, but watched the video of it. Man, it’s lucky no one was seriously hurt.
I own a “real” Packers helmet. When I got it, I was shocked at just how much it weighs. To get smacked in the head with one, swung by a huge angry man, it had to hurt. It could have caused serious head injury.
What kind of penalties do you think the NFL will hand out? If they don’t handle this right, it could happen again, with more serious injuries.
Someone on line said it made Suh look like Mary Poppins!🤣

Myles Garrett suspended indefinitely

Myles Garrett will not play again this season, and maybe longer.

The NFL announced Friday that the Cleveland Browns defensive end has been suspended for the rest of this season, including the playoffs should the Browns make it, and will have to meet with the commissioner's office before being reinstated in 2020.

Garrett ripped the helmet off Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and clubbed him in the head with it in the final seconds of Thursday night's game.

Garrett's suspension, which is at least six games, is the longest in NFL history for a single on-field incident.

If Rudolph would have just walked away after his helmet was ripped off, that would have been the end of it. But he went after Garrett, and that helped escalate things.
If Rudolph would have been seriously injured, it would have left serious consequences.
I mean, heck, Christmas is just a month away!
What would Santa do???😂

The guy should be gone from the NFL. I believe he is contrite in his apology, but "I'm sorry" is great for a 4 yr. old, not someone who could have permanently maimed or killed someone. "I'm sorry" might get you off criminal prosecution, should Rudolph decline to press charges, but the NFL has bigger issues to consider.

Already facing backlash for stupid PR decisions, like forcing Kaepernick on the teams, Goodell would be well served to come down hard and suspend Garrett permanently, if not for years.

Playing in any professional sports league is not a right, it is a privilege, and when you conduct becomes detrimental to a league, they have the right to can your stupid ass

I agree that the guy should never be allowed the PRIVILEGE of playing in the NFL again.
Garrett is the lucky one here. Had his wild helmet swing connected with the crown of the helmet hitting Rudolph, he could be looking at a manslaughter charge.
If you have ever picked up a NFL helmet, you’d understand how lethal one swung like a sledgehammer could be.
I still think Rudolph was an idiot for trying to go after Garrett once his helmet was off. That was the only thing protecting his head and face. The guy that knocked him down after that COULD have swung a fist and hit him in his bare face. He’s lucky he didn’t get hurt much worse. Rudolph should get a hefty fine too, although not suspended.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
