Former Packers General Manager Ted Thompson released a statement on Tuesday announcing that he has been diagnosed with an autonomic disorder. Well, we all knew something was wrong.
I hope he has a long healthy retirement.
I wonder if playing football has something to do with his bad health.

Very sorry to hear this. I wish Uncle Ted all the best. It has to be terribly frustrating/humiliating to not be able to control one's self.

Pure autonomic failure affects more women and tends to begin in a person’s 40s or 50s. It does not lead to death.
There is no specific treatment, so the focus is on relieving symptoms:

According to the Mayo Clinic's website, "autonomic nerve disorders (dysautonomia) refer to disorders of autonomic nervous system (ANS). ... Symptoms are wide-ranging and can include problems with the regulation of heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, perspiration, and bowel and bladder functions. Other symptoms include fatigue, lightheadedness, feeling faint or passing out (syncope), weakness, and cognitive impairment."

I think this means if Ted wants to do some scouting for GB or another team he will be able to do so. I hope so. He seems happiest when he is scouting.
