For as bad as last year turned out.
There are 2 things that swung games throughout the season.
#1 Special Teams
Mistake after mistake and just really poor play hurt The Packers in several games.

Rookies usually make their first impressions on Special Teams.
Just look at the size and speed the defensive guys that were drafted.
Mix them in with the 2nd a 3rd year guys , plus a new coach, I think The Packers ST"s will show vast improvement.

#2 Most important, the one stat that holds true every year.
LACK OF TURNOVERS!

One rookie who has a chance to start from day one is Savage.
Another ball hawk to add to the 3 FA pickups and last years starters, I have a feeling this is going to be a real fun defense to watch and the turnovers will once again come a plenty.

Thinking rookies can come in and solve all your problems only leads to unfullfilled great expectations.
I truly hope that Savage is the only rookie who starts from day one.
The other guys can work themselves into playing time without being thrown into the fire like The Trio of Packer WR's last year.

I have NO problem staying with my 13-3 prediction!
I actually feel more confident now that the draft is over.

THE BEST FUN HAS JUST STARTED

IT"S UNDRAFTED FREE AGENT TIME!
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

With the fine picks that GB is making in the 2019 NFL Draft, I revising my prediction from

10 - 6
to
6 -10

If they choose to not pick players to improve the team, I can only conclude that they want to loose. πŸ˜•

I am pleased the BPA on the board so often coincided a position of need for the Packers. Who would have thunk it? With all the new players they have acquired as a FA and in the draft, I say they go 11-5. It's going to be a fun year.

I'll revisit this after the draft, but at this point 9 - 7 is the best I can come up with...

    Home ( 6 - 2 )

    1. W - Minnesota Vikings
    2. W - Denver Broncos
    3. L - Philadelphia Eagles
    4. W - Detroit Lions
    5. W - Oakland Raiders
    6. W - Carolina Panthers
    7. W - Washington Redskins
    8. L - Chicago Bears

    Away ( 3 -5 )
    1. L - Chicago Bears
    2. L - Dallas Cowboys
    3. L - Kansas City Chiefs
    4. L - Los Angeles Chargers
    5. W - San Francisco 49ers
    6. W -New York Giants
    7. W - Detroit Lions
    8. L - Minnesota Vikings

    Random thoughts:
The D is getting way more athletic. Cut down day on that side of the ball could be painful.

I like our WR group (Adams/Allison/and the 3 2nd year), but I'm concerned on the depth if Adams goes down with any kind of injury.

I will be interested in seeing how an outside zone running game works with our outside guys (Bak/Bulaga/Graham) older, prone to injury, and not especially known as run blockers.

Concerned there might be a break-in period/learning curve associated with changing head coaches. Hope the players are able to quickly adjust.

We're going to need to get off to a good start, with @Bears/Vikes/Eagles/@Cowboys 4 out of the first 5. Eagles with a 4-day turn around is likely to be tough. It might help a bit that both the preceding game and the Eagles game are at home.

I don't know what to expect, but looking at my generous prediction ... I wouldn't be surprised if we went 12-4 or 6-10 to be honest.

It’s so hard to say, being as there is so much change with the team this year.
New players, new coach, new scheme and all.
But I choose to remain positive!
