Which players will be the fastest or the strongest or the most skilled?

What players/positions will GB be watching most closely?

Will a suprise player stand out?

Who will not attend the Combine?

[cheers]

Problem is the combine can make you fall in love with guys based purely on athletics and not game film. And for good reason.

Unfortunately Spriggs is one of those Combine love affairs gone bad.

Looking forward to see Andy Isabella, The Safeties (specifically Adderley) and The Devins (Devin White & Devin Bush).

I have heard to watch the slot receivers in the 20 yard shuttle and the outside LB'rs in the 3-cone drill for quickness and bend. I thought it was an interesting read. The article talked about Wes Welker having a very average combine but great 20 yard shuttle and Danny Amendola was in the top 97 percentile in that drill.

It mentioned a comparison between Clay and Perry. Clay had a very good 3-cone time and early in his career he used his quickness and bend to get around OT's. Perry didn't have a great 3-cone time and and has had issues getting around the outside shoulder of the OT's. The article went on to say below 7 seconds is an exceptional time.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting and something to watch when these groups go thru the drills.

I've read about what people like about the Combine.

What do you consider a useless or lame drill for the players? Do they do a long jump? šŸ˜•

Is their a backwards running 40 yd dash for the CBs and Safeties? 😁

Kanata makes a great point.
Game speed and agility is what is really important.
So much is made of the combine, that doesn’t translate into on the field.
But I understand the need for it anyway.

Workouts are for the fans.

Coaches are there for the interviews and medical reports.

I love it that every Lineman ever interviewd has always said that their 40 at the combine is the last 40 they have ever ran.

There will be a few players who rise or drop during the workouts, but it's the coaches interviews and the doctors medical reports that weigh the most when a GM is setting his board

dfosterf (10h) : Big men. I hope it's not the undoing of Kenny Clark

Zero2Cool (29-May) : Whoa

Zero2Cool (19-May) : he giving up his win business?
beast (19-May) : Speaking of Woodson, sounds like he'll be a minority owner (0.1%) of the Browns
