I think when Williams was saying change is always good, what he really would’ve liked to have said was “change is good when you’re getting rid a player who puts up a half assed effort on 2/3 of the plays. When you play the safety position, you have play with the mindset of an assassin. You have to know your assignment, know where you can be hurt the most, know your vulnerabilities, plan, be in the right position, and then, at the right time UNLEASH...and HHCD didn’t have the willingness to do it. After an adjustment period, I don't expect any drop off. Probably an improvement in coverage and a slight decrease in run defense.
