Shortly after the Packers played the Raiders, this preseason, linebacker Ahmad Brooks posted this on his Twitter feed:

Now that he's been cut, the tweet unintentionally takes on a whole new meaning. 😂

Sorry, I don't get it.

Apparently, the Chargers decided not to take a flyer on him last year because he was dealing with anemia. The Packers knew about his medical condition but signed him anyway. Considering how high both McCarthy and Pettine were on Thomas just a few days ago, it's interesting to speculate on what might have arisen in the past few days to have changed their mind. Part of me wonders if the anemia recently returned and the Packers just weren't willing to grapple with the ramifications of that kind of issue for the rest of the season.

I heard about the tweet, but did not know who it was directed at. It came before the cuts. Unless it came as a result of something that happened on the sideline with coaches during the game? Who knows? Does look bad in hindsight. It would be weird for him to go to the facility to sign on the PS if it was directed at the Packers though. He'd have to know that it would look terrible on his part.

But he could have done a little better job of future-proofing the tweet to avoid later confusion. Even just adding, "Oakland" to the end of it would have done the trick.

Look at when he was released.
Also, consider Packers told him they wanted him back on practice squad with the caveat that things could change.

The End.

Yes, Ahmad Thomas, not Ahmad Brooks. Sorry for the typo; I was obviously typing faster than my little brain could keep up. I'll leave the original mistake up there so you can all grill me mercilessly for it. [nohair]

That tweet was posted shortly after the packers traded for Morrison. So there was some speculation that the tweet was directed at GB rather than oak, because it was 2 days after playing oak, not exactly immediately following. But most gave him the benefit of the doubt that it was meant for oak and mot his current employer.
BAD EMAIL because the address couldn ot be found, or is unable to receive mail.
