Montgomery maybe, as a slot guy. They need to use him less. They got Aaron Jones and Cobb, both can motion out of the backfield and run a route, it’s just that they’re much smaller targets. Monty needs a pitch count to keep him healthy.

Though I have to admit, I have thought about the idea of trading for FS Earl Thomas many times, which sometimes has included trading away Haha to make room. Though it seems like the Safety market is at an all time low (at least the SS market), FS might be different.

For at minimum, I think the Seahawks will want at least a 3rd because that's probably what they would get as a comp pick, if they simply wait for him to become a FA. And rumor had it they were asking for a 2nd AND middle round pick (say 4th or 5th) from the Cowboys.

One of my concerns with Cobb is how will they be using the roster. With the group of veteran TEs, they have a lot of slot options... and very few proven outside WR options. So will Cobb be used as his normal slot WR self? Or is he going to be playing outside WR a lot more? If they're willing to be creative with Graham then they have unlimited options... as Graham could probably be asked to play anywhere from Traditional TE role, to outside possession WR role.

In different ways, I think both Haha and Wilkerson's problems have been environment problems and negative reactions to those environment problems. Wilkerson's environment problem being the changing of coaches while with the Jets and his negative reaction to it. While Haha's environment problem being, not being able to trust his teammates in coverage the last two years... and Capers changing the scheme up, to a more conservative one, in an attempt to help the struggling CBs. And the new environments changes might be just what they needed.

So no one is liking Monty at RB anymore? ... I could be completely wrong, but if the offense is able to stay healthy, I think Monty could potentially look great at RB. He needs an OL to get him started and a passing game to maximize his potential, but he can do a ton.

Also nerd, so you want Monty in the slot and Cobb as the RB? Seems like madden, just siwtching players all around 👅 Cobb and Jones both lack power and struggle in pass protection... which they can get away with some because of the ability running routes, but ideally, you'd like someone who could pass block too.
