I'm actually still holding onto an ounce of hope for Hundley, though I can't articulate why.
With the draft position, IMO If you were drafted, the expectation should be that you can be an effective player at this level, and where you were drafted really should only affect the length of your leash. Not every 5th rounder should be expected to be a HOFer, but I'm not going to excuse high expectations just because they were drafted lower. That's just a subtle agree to disagree point, though.
I think the bigger thing I'm getting at is if drafted, we should expect you can play in the NFL. 4.5 games as a starter, 2.5 years with the team, and he's not showing squat. Yes, Wentz and Watson were drafted with higher expectations - I bring them up just because they gave you the sense that some potential is there, as raw as it may or may not be. Are we seeing any potential for Hundley to serve any effective role as an NFL player when he's had more time to prepare than them?
