"Brett Hundley: 'I've been doing this my whole life'" ...

Id feel alot better if we grabbed tolzien or flynn from whereever he is. Then Hudley ... Sorry never liked him.

Thats nice that hudley wasnt ready to play even after 3 years ... I mean I understand if its not important to you to practice and to actually think we might need you so better to just collect the pay check; dont study any film either - He looked like a deer in the headlights in the MN game - ... if we are stuck with him I really hope he wakes up and plays this time.

If he had been doing this all his life he would of looked like it.

I smile when I see the way what I've said has been characterized with zero proof. Phantom fabrications to demean me.

Aaron Rodgers was at 39.8 and 48.2 for passer rating in 2005 and 2006 appearing in two relief stints in each season. Hundley wasn't ever touted as a first overall in the draft, nor was he ever thought to be our future. Now, he finally gets his chance to play knowing he will start.

The Ewing Theory article appeared hours after my post. I had no idea of it's existence but my post is the Ewing Theory minus the name and data but includes the same principle. It will be interesting to see if the team can elevate, or if it even believes it's possible. Hundley's start vs. NO could swing that either way. He starts fast and everyone might just start buying in. He starts poorly and it's here we go again like vs. Minnesota and it could be total shutdown mode. This is one of the biggest regular season games in memory.

This from isocleas2 makes no sense to me:

####You're still delusional, the packers were 4-1 before Rodgers went down and that was while sustaining numerous key injuries on offense/defense. Hell the CB/S/OL is hardly recognizable with all the new faces being forced to play. Yet the Packers were dead before the season started? Bored

Your expectations are unreal and your illogical approach to attaining them is even more so.####

What does being 4-1 in the regular season have to do with being able to win the SB? It was obvious to anyone who follows football that this Packers D was not SB caliber. What was done to "Fix" this D was laughable especially when it comes to the CB situation. I said that long before the season kicked off. With or without Aaron nothing has changed. The D is still terrible and has terrible CB's. Not a super season before the Rodgers injury nor after. Not sure what you're so upset about? The truth?

I do like Hundley. Of course, you're concerned putting anyone with little experience behind a line like ours. Not a very fair way for a guy to get his feet wet getting pounded in Minnesota behind one of the most porous lines we've ever assembled. This is full on fun. The doom and gloom makes me smile. It's a game. These crazy charges that the Packers winning matters that much to me is insane. What does matter to me is a team with advantages like GB has with 12 squandering their glorious opportunities. Now, 12 is gone...my expectations are now in line with where yours probably are most of the time. Just enjoy the games. When 12 plays and we're staked to that massive advantage I expect to see greatness but, of course, that's stymied by our organizational failure. Very important distinction but I don't expect the non nuanced to understand.

So, for me, this is fun. It's like pre-season which I happen to love. Can't wait to see how this goes.

EDIT: Packers must believe Aaron could be back before 8 weeks or they would've just IR'ed him. You only get two IR return spots, but I believe the org believes he can be back in 8 weeks including bye. The silence from Rodgers and the org is disappointing. Let's hear a timetable now that he's had surgery.

I know the QB1 going down is always bad and I personally hate the "injury" excuse but I've not seen many worse injury situations than last Sunday for a team in a single week. They lost a HOF QB as well as a pro bowl level LT+RT, starting LG who had to play LT (LT2 and RT2 are already out as well as G2/C2). Started the game without SS1, CB1, CB2, then lost SS2, CB4, OLB1 got hurt, DT1 (daniels) is obviously still effected by the hammy.

Long story short with the OL situation right now I would expect it to be fine with Rodgers but it's so bad that I don't expect much out of the offense with Hundley (even if Hundley is a decent/good player) at QB. It's a tough evaluation to assess your offensive talent with a back up QB when you have your 4th option at LT and 5th option at RT starting games with our starting LG also out. Many NFL teams struggle to start 2 quality Ts let alone whatever the heck we are working with now. I feel bad for Hundley this is his shot and he has nothing to work with.

At least Kenny Clark and Blake Martinez are fucking crushing it on defense.

Rodgers communicated on Instagram:. COMEBACK STARTS NOW

Hundley has to lead to 2 or 3 wins. Post bye we should be healthy enough to see if he can with reasonable expectation.

This offensive line is still the major story of the season. They must have a group of 5 guys to work together, at least all game.

Sounds like Hundley will have Bulaga and Bakhtiari.

Let's see what happens. About as exciting as it gets for a regular season game.

I needed 10-15 minutes free to read that original post. It was wordy. I am better with pictures. 🙂

Why do we keep saying Brett Hundley has had three years of mentoring Aaron Rodgers? Brett was drafted in 2015, that means he had two seasons. 2015 and 2016 of mentoring Aaron Rodgers. Brett has had three training camps with the Packers.

The Packers should run the same offense under Hundley as if they would with Rodgers, with a few tweaks. I would add more RPO (run, pass option) plays and clearly Brett will not be able to have the latitude to change plays at the line.

The Packers have a great group of WR's (not to be confused with a great WR's -- the top 3 group as whole is one of the top five in the league) and now have a running game. Let the QB play the same offense Aaron Rodgers had with those few tweaks.

Seeing the Colts, Cardinals, and Broncos go scoreless made me feel a little better. It stinks to be average but at least we're not completely stinking up the joint. We were in that game until the bottom fell out.
