Extra week with full preseason roster a plus

In the past, the Packers have been preparing for the first roster reduction following the third preseason game, but that's no longer the case.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy is a big fan of the change to one roster cut after the entire preseason concludes,

It may be a plus to the front office. It may be a plus to the 75-90th men on the roster but for the guys who are 54th-74th, not so much. The time in the final two weeks when they would get more chances in practice and in games is gone. Taken up by the bottom rung players who eat up the time that belongs to the next to the bottom players.

It is also bad for the position coaches. The time they could devote to the "almost going to make it" players is watered down. It may be only a week. It may only be two weeks as GB cut many players before the 3rd PS game.
