The Packers saw several players return to practice on Tuesday, but a pair of rookies remain on the sidelines. The Green Bay Packers  finally got some good news on the injury front on Tuesday, as numerous players returned to the practice field.
A pair of presumed starters made it back on the field after sitting out for over a week apiece. Running back Ty Montgomery practiced  after missing last week’s preseason game in Washington with an unspecified soft-tissue injury in his leg, while cornerback Damarious Randall completed the NFL’s concussion protocol  and took the field for the first time since suffering his concussion against Philadelphia.
Notable in Randall ’s return to the field is that he was one of the starting boundary corners in practice, along with Kevin King. Quinten Rollins lined up in the slot with the starters today, a switch of his and Randall’s roles earlier on in camp.
In addition to those two players, however, the team also got back a host of others. Wide receiver Malachi Dupre , who also suffered a concussion against the Eagles , was back on the field along with fellow wideout Colby Pearson  who had an ankle injury.
A pair of injured defensive players also took a few snaps despite not suiting up in pads. Defensive lineman Montravius Adams  reportedly did some work against blocking sleds, while outside linebacker Vince Biegel  joined his fellow edge rushers for walkthrough work. Neither one has yet been cleared to practice fully, however, and Biegel remains on the PUP list for the time being. Furthermore, head coach Mike McCarthy said prior to practice  that Biegel will not practice this week, which rules him out for Saturday’s preseason game against the Broncos . Still, the fact that Biegel is now doing substantial work on the sidelines during practice  is a sign that he is getting closer to a return.
Finally, there is good news on defensive lineman Dean Lowry , who suffered a knee injury in Washington. McCarthy confirmed that Lowry’s injury is not serious, and even though he did not practice Tuesday, it is “not a long-term concern.” As usual, McCarthy would not go into details regarding the injury, however, but one source — the Beloit Daily News’ Josh Flickinger  — is reporting it as a sprained MCL.
There were two minor injury notes during Tuesday’s practice: a pair of outside linebackers, Nick Perry  and Jayrone Elliott , suffered apparent injuries during practice. Perry  returned to the field shortly thereafter, while Elliott came back to the sideline before the session concluded.

That way they get an extra roster spot, and a healthy OLB rejoins the team sometime after the first 6 weeks.

Thrilled Malachi is okay. When he was carted off I thought his once promising career was over. I watched him come off the field and I never saw him give a thumbs up and I was watching for it.

Mont Adams and Biegel are both likely PUP guys. I don't have high hopes Biegel will last more than a few games once he does get on the field. Have gut feeling he'll have a career marred by that foot injury.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

At this point I'd think about just keeping biegel on PUP. He was one of my favorite draft picks but even when he's back it'll take a while for him to get going. We need good players to be healthy at the end of the season more than we need them the first 6 weeks.

The thing is, if Biegel doesn't get on the field sometime soon, he won't be much good late in the season, as he won't have the reps a rookie needs.
Jmo of course.

Bulaga just limped off the field, so tackle has become my biggest concern for the team especially considering how poor Spriggs has looked and Barclay injured.

At least there is some time between now and the regular season opener.
Maybe the injury isn't too serious.
Plus it gives a little time to bring someone in.

Just talked to Mike, it's a trick to light a fire under Sprigg's behind.

[Leaving a world of delusion]

Spriggs will be better on right side! If Bulaga cant go.

Montraveous Adams was injured in first day or two of camp so he cant go on PUP!

I think Biegel should go on PUP, allow for more healing; he will still develop, though not as much, with time in the classroom and watching practice.

He suffered a Jones Fracture in same foot in 2016 with Badgers. He only missed 2 games [with a bye], he played 28 days after the injury; so I cant see any way he had surgery and nonoperative treatments have up to a 50% refracture rate.

Surgically repaired Jones Fractures in athletes have a very small % of refracture using techniques developed about 8 years ago. and usually take 8 weeks, it's been 12, so maybe him being out this long is being cautious or there were complications.

In 2012, he injured a foot in camp, aggravated it in 2nd game that ended his freshman year. He got a medical redshirt. Not sure which foot or what kind of injury so I’m not sure how it plays in; but he fell to 4th because of these injuries. At least one team pulled him on medicals.

Zero2Cool (1h) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (2h) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (16h) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (16h) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
