2) It's been one of the most injury prone positions with Matthews and Perry
Of course, maybe they didn't get to choose this... rumors did have it that the Packers were interested in Connor Barwin (who signed with his former coach with the Rams)... and that the Packers might have come close or maybe even matched Datone's offer (who signed with the Vikings). Maybe they just kept picking the other teams?
Also maybe they have more faith in Fackrell and Elliott ... as in very limited duty, they both have flashed good pass rush potential...
