Hate that 3 of the last 4 and 4 of the last 6 are on the road. The only home December game is against MN.
Having a Monday night game AFTER the bye is poorly timed.

I think the bye being mid season is a big deal though. Rough finish but at least we will have the playoffs at home 😝

The week 4 (Sept. 28) game at home against the Bears is GB's only Thursday game for the entire season. They won't have to cram to get ready to play Dallas or Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. The Bears at home that one Thursday night does appear to be maybe a blessing in disguise. It will give GB extra time to heal and prepare for the trip to Dallas in week 5 .

As far as the games following the bye being easier, there are 5 away games in 9 games. GB has only 3 away games in the first 7 games . I see both sides of the bye being tough for varied reasons. How tough still remains to be seen as the Draft and TC still lie ahead .

[cheers]

Am I the only one who thinks this is a favorable schedule?

Sure, the first couple of games are against tough opponents but I'd rather face those teams in the beginning when some of those teams may still be attempting to get it together (sure that goes for the Pack as well).

Glad we get the Seahawks at Lambeau. That is a good deal.

Depending on how this winter is, Packers will have to play in 1-2 "cold weather games" in November-December. Favorable.

You never know which team will be good at what time and often it's a week to week league. I'm just happy about the mid-season bye. Fuck yea to that.

I think this is a very good schedule for the Packers. Seattle, Atlanta out of the gate which should be two of the toughest conference opponents and we get to face them when they pretty much have NO idea how we are going to use our two new TEs in the offense. No west coast trips. The week 5 and 6 with both road games with Dallas followed by MN is probably the scariest part as Dallas should be a tough road game, at least MN is almost a home game travel wise.

I am most irritated that we don't finish the season against a division foe. That is my only gripe. Early prediction. 13-3. Super Bowl Champions.

Interesting schedule. Given the tendency for McCarthy teams to start off slowly, we could be looking at an 0-2 start, which would make for some dissension in the ranks. No Lambeau Field advantage in December, but maybe that plays to this team's finesse tendencies.

Seattle and Atlanta are better teams as a whole and both could shred up our secondary. The Bengals are a play-off calibre team when they have their weapons healthy. While I'm not that big a fan of Ross, pair him with a healthy A.J. Green, Giovanni Bernard and Tyler Eifert and our defense could, again, be in for a rough day.

The Cowboys are beatable, but it's pretty much the same story. They have a complete offense with great O-line. Their secondary is a mess, though, but they did just improve their pass rush quite a bit.

The Vikings have a good team and we play them in Minnesota. The Saints aren't that good, but you don't want to get into a shoot-out with Drew Brees. Something that it looks like it might come down to, looking at both teams on paper.

If we come out as strong as we're capable of, you go into the bye 6-1 or 5-2. If we come out limping like we tend to do, I can see us start the season 0-3 and hit the bye week at 2-5.
