Some people pick a side and stubbornly and naively stick to it. I see trends and changes and acquire information that sometimes alters my perception. Such as when Ted Thompson took over the Packers, I was good with the trade high picks for more picks approach so we could build a solid roster. I believe we have a pretty decent core at this stage I feel the Packers need to be more surgical with draft picks and should use free agency when appropriate.

It's been said a side must be picked, or rather a call for someone to pick a side. There are no sides and that kind of divisive thinking is horrible.

I called him the greatest thrower of the football of all time. I was absolutely hammered and mocked relentlessly. Cries of ...way too soon. You can't say something like that...not enough evidence, etc. See, I didn't need to wait to know what I knew then. Later, all of a sudden after the years rolled by...Now, Aaron is all of a sudden exactly what I said years before. That's called...VISION. I don't need 6 years of playoff failure to alter my opinion or perception. It was never about the amount of time. It was about what was and still is. Our GM is a self styled smartest guy in the room type. He won't use FA like he should because it's just too much fun plugging in the LaDarius Gunter's of the world. It's just common sense. If you have 3 ways of making a team great and you're only exploring 2 of the 3, that puts you behind a team that's using all 3. Ted has hidden as much as he does from the media behind Aaron Rodgers. 12 has masked so many deficiencies on this team it's sad. Had Aaron been hot vs. Atlanta perhaps we win 45-44 and the hive is thrilled and this is justification that TT, MM and Dom are winners!!! No. It's justification that Aaron was really hot and we have a porous D that still gave up 44 points. You react way too much to the raw results without the vision of foreseeing them due to our organizational philosophy. If you can't see we have an embarrassment for our GM position I don't know what to say. He is not a man. No man hides like he does. He throws his HC out there to talk for him because he won't do it. That is Ted's job to stand up as the face of the organization when a season ends. He doesn't do it. It's pathetic. Oh, I get it...he's really just a scout so he can't do it? LOL. Ted is an oddball. A total weirdo. This is not the kind of guy you want running your franchise. Do guys really want to come play for him if they have any other option? I wouldn't. He's known to be cold and aloof with players and agents. Get us a freaking man to do Ted's job. A guy who'll stand up not run and hide. Resistant to change means welcome to decline while removing the possibility of improving.

How anyone can be happy with our braintrust is beyond me but they celebrate 8 years in the playoffs and division championships like it was a SB victory, so I guess that explains it.

from packersnews.com:

A source told PackersNews.com on Friday that Thompson, aware his Super Bowl contender continues to underachieve, could show rare aggressiveness in the free-agent market this spring.

I said it earlier...the chatter is really loud and growing about us finally making a push to go all in...for once. Really hoping this is a case of where there's smoke there's fire, but seen a lot of blown smoke in Packerland over the years. Get it done.

Also, VERY encouraging, if true, that he's calling us an underachiever. Flies in the face of what he said when he said at 4-6 we weren't underachieving...just way it goes in the NFL. Is this tin man showing a semblance of a pulse?

I think Thompson should write all Packers fans settlement check$ for the unnecessary stress he's put us through.

Zero2Cool (15h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (18h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (18h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (20h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (20h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (20h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (20h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (20h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (20h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (20h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (20h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (20h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (20h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (20h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (20h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (22h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (22h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (22h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
