At this point all I can do is be thankful that we even made it to 1 SB with Rodgers under center. 2010 is looking more and more like lightning in a bottle (for the defensive side)

This regime is incapable of drafting and developing on defense. We've throw countless picks at the defense, multiple first rounders included, and yet this is the return we get. How in the hell do you give up 36ppg in all of your postseason losses with AR? Big changes need to be made on defense

We're going to look back on the Rodgers era and wonder how the #%^& we didn't win the big one more with this guy.

Ted Thompson has invested heavily on the defensive side of the ball and has come up with squat.
Thompson needs to go!🤬

Well if our defensive line can apply some pressure without blitzing then we wouldn't have to worry the QB picking up the blitz on those big three downs cause we wouldn't need to blitz as often and disguise our plays.

Matt Ryan had all the time in the world to complete his passes. They we're 10-13 on 3rd down at 76% & if I remember right one of those misses was because they dropped the ball & one of the being at FG range.

When your front seven can't make the quarterback uncomfortable, this is what happens.

We need to look for a replacement for Sammy, I don't like the idea of him coming back. May need to protect him from himself. But other than that, the secondary really isn't our problem. the problem is in front of them. No pass rush and LBers that can't cover the middle of the field. If we had the same CB injuries in 2010, we would have been playing Jarrett Bush and Patrick Lee.

We need a partner for Daniels to get push up the middle so QBs can't step up and make it easier on the edge rush. We need better edge rush also, clay and perry are not enough by themselves. And we need somebody with enough size and speed at LB/SS so teams are not constantly picking on and converting 3rd and longs over the middle.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I don't think anyone expected Shield to miss the whole year, Gunter, Randall, and Rollins to all regress (after all were solid as rookies), Goodson to blow out his knee, etc. Hyde is not a CB. When you are stuck with him, Gunter, and banged up Randall you will get smoked.

The interesting thing is that Atlanta also lost there number one cornerback, Trufant, for the year. It did not seem like they completely imploded without him. It just seems like we can not compensate for poor play via scheme like these other teams.

I also think we need better man corners, and Dom Capers/someone that replaces him that's willing to play man. We've been burned by deep balls so many times we've overcompensated and play way off receivers giving easy completions and easy drives. I'd rather give up 1-2 TDs on bombs a game than give a bunch of easy completions with no defender within 5 yards. Much more likely to get off the field without giving up points with the former than the latter. Our defense also gets less worn out and our offense gets more time on the field.
