Enjoy the game, but please be safe. Oh yes, I can disagree with you sometimes and still care about the health of you and your family.

Taking the high road. [cheers]

That is so freakin' awesome, Kevin! [giddity]

God, I'm so jealous (not just of the tickets, but of your boss! 🤤 ).

Personally, though, I think you should work a little harder and get like six playoff tickets next time... šŸ˜

Counting on your presence to tip the balance and bring us a victory...

Question : If one, like Kevin, knew that he and his family would be attending an extremely cold event like Sundays Playoff game, what would you eat before the game to help sustain you for the game ?

I ask because long distance runners like to eat Pasta the night before they undertake a marathon. In the same type of thought, what is the best thing to eat that will help generate the body heat needed to sit through about 4 hours in an extremely cold environment ? Is there a lesson here for someone that is not from Wisconsin ?

Grats Kevin!

not to take away from your free tickets ... but I remember when my uncle gave me some free tickets - to the bears game was below 0 perfect seats right on the 50 front row ... but it was sooo cold that I remember buying a beer and having the top of it freeze over by the time we got back to our seats ... we couldnt even make it through the game.

Have fun :)

Thanks everyone!

We went to the 49ers playoff game here few years ago and the high was 5°. The high is supposed to be 7°. Anyhow, at that game I kept asking the girls every few minutes (before the game even started) if they were cold. After kickoff I asked a few more times and they both snapped at me saying "Daddy!! Just WATCH the game! We are fine, in fact I am sweating!!" ...

A little background here ... I made the girls load up on handwarmers, bought them each Carhartt Jackets & Overalls plus boots that would keep them warm if they stood on the Antarctica surface lol. I kept telling them if they were too cold, we can leave and watch at home and don't worry about the cost of the tickets (they are very money consciousness and knew how much it meant to me to be at the game).

When they announced to everyone FREE HOT CHOCOLATE the girls were in heaven! They are giving away free hot chocolate again and I'm sad to say, I think they are looking forward to the hot chocolate more than the game! lol

Awesome Kevin! 4 years ago this weekend I brought the girl I loved to the Vikings Packers playoff game in 0 degree weather. We froze our butts off but it lead to the marriage and son we have today. Tempted to grab some tickets and relive it tomorrow.

As you live in Green Bay, I'd expect you to know how to dress for the cold weather. My question remains, what is the best meal to eat if one knows that they will be facing 4+ hours of extreme cold with limited physical activity ?

I would say a pasta dish like Mac & Cheese, or Spaghetti, or Ravioli. In addition, I'd pack my pockets with salted peanut packs or M & M's or some other easily concealed snack that would not be discovered as I entered the stadium too. The concessionaires will be under much stress to supply "Hot Chocolate" to all that will be wanting it or "Hot Coffee". Staving off hunger may be more important as calories are burned to generate body heat.

Enjoy the game . [cheers]

Pasta or anything else that will be slow digesting would work well. The body is like a furnace and you need to keep fueling the fire

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'

Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )

Zero2Cool (23-Jul) : No sir. I did not.
dfosterf (23-Jul) : You didn't get free childcare when you were at work?
wpr (23-Jul) : These guys make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Pay for their own childcare.
dfosterf (23-Jul) : 2nd issue. Number 1 issue was no gameday childcare. 1 of 3 teams not providing it
Zero2Cool (23-Jul) : Suppose if locker room is main issue, we sitting pretty
wpr (23-Jul) : I thought so Mucky. In those useless player polls GB always rates high overall. Locker is a part of it.
Mucky Tundra (23-Jul) : Wasn't the locker room just updated like 6 or 7 years ago?
Zero2Cool (23-Jul) : I have forum updated on different site. We'll see how this one goes before going to that
Zero2Cool (23-Jul) : Elgton Jenkins has a back injury, is expect to end contract dispute
wpr (23-Jul) : It's funny the PA complained about the locker room. It wasn't that long ago it was top shelf. Things change in a hurry.
wpr (23-Jul) : The site is much more better.
