After that 4 game losing streak, this season turned out pretty darn good.

The Cowboys win is what I will remember most.

But this dismal defense... I'm done with it, people need to be fired. I'm tired of the certainty that they will fold. That's why I didn't need to watch the second half. Years of evidence that this defense will offer no resistance against playoff level offense.

Hell, we only won the Dallas game because our D let the cowboys drive down the field at breakneck speed to give Rodgers more time.

The Kaepernik game, Arizona "more TDs than incompletions", Seattle collapse.. it's gone on far too long.

Is our offense perfect? No, but they shouldn't need to be perfect just to keep up.

---

I had a post a few years ago about Thompson's failure to replace the players we've lost from those 2010/11 seasons, and it has only gotten worse since.

Raji, Jenkins, Pickett - Mike D is the only notable player we've had on that line since.. lots of busts.

Nick Collins, Woodson - hard to replace all-world talent.. but aside from an un-spectacular Burnett/HHCD.. we've had horrid play.

Clay Matthews- when he's not injured, or being wasted for years at ILB, he's ok, hardly the elite player he was projecting to be 6 years ago.

ILB- still sucks, but at least Hawk was durable.

(Other OLB) - has been a rotation of bad jokes until Peppers, who has been really expensive for a just solid player.

Pretty sure it was dismal.

Did you listen to Aaron's presser where he lamented not having better seeding so they could've had the game at home.

I'd say having a 10-6 record was the culprit for the poorer seeding and hence a road appearance in the NFCCG.

Our dismal regular season ended our post season according to Aaron.

Yup. Got me. Check yourself, there. This board was a sanitarium at 4-5 and then 4-6 please stop acting like it was just me who thought this thing was headed completely off the rails. Would've been better as I said back then because the changes we need were more likely to be made but ol Ted Thompson said that was never a consideration. He should be fired for saying that.

Again, put the focus on me instead of what I say. A nice move. It seems the bulk of replies I get are of the personal variety and rarely on the content of what I've posted. I guess if you can't hang just go after the poster. Ad hominem all day brother!

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
