Glad you aren't either, even though you act like you are. It's negligent to use live action to test for something that you are worried could realistically cause possible death or dialisys for the rest of his life. If it was that serious his season would be done until they were sure that it wasn't that much of a risk instead of conducting science experiments with the guys life on the field.

Yeah, the reason for what's happened is that McCarthy likes James Starks to be GBs RB more than he likes Ty Montgomery to be GBs RB.

Your comment might be the sound-bite/black-white way of looking at it; but the world is mostly grey and requires explanation. Fact is every morning a player drives to the stadium, he risks death. Only 2 yellow lines separates any of us from a 120MPH head-on collision; only a little red light prevents life defying t-bones. Players have died from hits on the field; on each and every NFL play someone could die. Heck Randall could be on dialysis right now because of that microphone box. Some have been paralyzed.

There are dozens of players with SCT in NFL, hundreds in college football, thousand in all college sports. every college athletic program screens for it. That moght have been why Monty dropped to 3rd round. Staffs on most every college athletic program have dealt with this issue at one time.

To opine that because there is a chance at death, the staff's treatment of Monty is wrong is illogical and silly and can only be contrived by ignoring a whole bunch of reality. The staff is being cautious, maybe overly so for your liking; Monty's present and future family says thanks you for not joining 1265's med staff. Just realize in every game NFL and College med staff conducts similar "science experiments" as you put it. A guy cramps, they hydrate him and send him out to experiment to see how he holds up; Clay hurts his shoulder they give a pain shot and experiment by sending him out to see if the shoulder can hold up. Manning hurts his neck, they fuse it, and experiment on the field to see how it holds up.
