Normally, if one of your opponents RB scores 24 points it can spell disaster but thanks to Kam Chancellor and Tony McDaniel of Seattle I ended up winning my game by .12 points. I had 97.22 points and a 25 point lead going into Sunday nights game (25.04 actually). He had LeGarrette Blount going but I was fairly confident I could pull out the win with the Patriots going up against Seattle's defense. I thought Brady and Gronk might go off but I didn't think Blount would see 20 points much less 25.
After his 3rd TD I was less than 1 point ahead and it was only half way through the 3rd quarter. I figured it was over for me. I wasn't actually watching the game, just checking in on my phone and I didn't look again until I went to be around midnight. I couldn't believe that I had pulled out a 97.22 to 97.08 win. Usually I don't look at play by plays but I had to see if he had been injured or something because I figured what, he couldn't gain another 5 yards or so in over 20 minutes of play. I saw that he did gain 10 more yards in the 3rd quarter to give my opponent a slight lead but he only had 2 carries in the 4 the quarter and they didn't come until the 2 minute warning and 1 was a 4 yard loss (tackled by McDaniel) and the other a stuff for no gain (Chancellor) (I guess he actually did have 1 more carry for no yards at the very start of the 4th)
I'm just waiting for a score adjustment somewhere to give him an extra point or take one away from me but I can't help but think he feels kinda like we Packer fans did at the end of the fail Mary game.
Its the wildest ending to a fantasy game I have ever seen since my brother in law lost by .1 points after Jay Cutler took 3 knees to end the game and lost 3 yards and .3 points. The wildest thing about that situation of course that the Bears were in a position to take a knee in the first place..
