Coincidence? Rodgers performance has sucked since he quit Dairy.

I like how people are calling for McCarthy's head, but the only other coach people are mentioning are Bill Belichick.

We're not gonna get Bill Belichick, guys.

We're not gonna get Bill Cowher either.

Nope, not Bruce Arians.

So do, pray tell, who the hell that's available that's better than Mike McCarthy right now.

There are former head coaches and coordinators who teamed up with Rodgers would likely have success they didn't before. Sam Bradford looks like a new person with his change of team and coach.

Well I don't see McCarthy making a whole lot of changes because they were beaten badly by Dallas. Four turnovers and umpteen chances to make plays to stay in that game won't shake his tree too much IMO. Arod has gone thru stretches where he has played poorly before and bounced back. I saw a graph on ESPN where I believe it compared 2010 or '13 to this year after 5 games and Arod's numbers were essentially the same and he went on to have a very good year. I believe McCarthy will take the position that Aaron Rodgers is too good to stay this bad for much longer.

I can see Mike McCarthy tweaking some things but no major changes. If I am him I look at what is going well and take advantage of it. Offensively, one thing going well is the pass protection. If I'm seeing the Oline holding up like it has in pass pro I'm trotting Davis and Montgomery out there and running some longer developing crossing patterns, etc, and letting that speed and athleticism become an advantage vs. watching Arod bouncing around out there after 2.5 seconds because the routes called for the ball to come out earlier and seldom take advantage of the extra second or second and a half he's been given.

What a waste at least for me to watch Arod standing back there with a receiver on the right sideline, another on the left, both essentially standing there, when they had enough time to cross to that point from the opposite field. You can't tell me if they keep four guys moving somebody won't be open after 3 to 3.5 seconds. We don't make the D pay somehow for that extra time and it just aggravates the hell out of me.

I'd be precisely half as worried about ARod as I am now if he hadn't stunk it up for half of last season too. This isn't a 2016 problem. This is a 2015-16 problem which is very alarming.

Thursday night will likely set the tone for the remainder of the season. If having their pants pulled down around their ankles by a pair of rookies in their house doesn't make them want to play better, nothing probably will.

While I have been highly critical of the mediocre (and sometimes bad) offensive performances - there is enough time to turn this season around, but not without major change and fast.

Hell.. Rodgers looked alone on an island much of the time... not approaching anyone... but more importantly.. very few approaching him.

The offensive line to me was the most telling... back to Sitton and company years back, that was the loose group... that group now looks like the walking dead on the sidelines. Little discussion... blank stares and motionless much of the time. Beat down.

Part of football is being loose, having fun... that sideline is anything but.

And that was not just after they got down in the game.. that was even evident in the pregame.

Just a job... going through the motions.

dfosterf (10h) : from ft Belvoir, Quantico and points south. Somber reminder of this tragedy at Reagan Nat Airport
dfosterf (10h) : So eerily quiet here in Alexandria. I live in the flight path of commercial craft coming from the south and west, plus the military craft
dfosterf (10h) : So eeri
Mucky Tundra (13h) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (14h) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (14h) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (15h) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (18h) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Chiefs again huh? I guess another Super Bowl I'll be finding something else to do.
Mucky Tundra (27-Jan) : Chiefs Eagles...again...sigh
dfosterf (27-Jan) : Happy Birthday Dave!
Mucky Tundra (27-Jan) : happy birthday dhazer
TheKanataThrilla (26-Jan) : Exactly buck...Washington came up with the ball. It is just a shitty coincidence one week later
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : Turnovers rule, win the turnover battle, win the game.
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : well, he was
TheKanataThrilla (26-Jan) : Eagles down by contact on the fumble....fuck you NFL
Mucky Tundra (26-Jan) : I think this games over

Mucky Tundra (26-Jan) : This game looks too big for Washington
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : that being said, The Ravens are the Browns
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : Browns, Dolphins have longest AFC Championship droughts
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : As of today, Cowboys have longest NFC Championship drought,

Martha Careful (25-Jan) : thank you Mucky for sticking up for me
Martha Careful (25-Jan) : some of those people are smarter than you zero. However Pete Carroll is not
Mucky Tundra (24-Jan) : Rude!
beast (24-Jan) : Martha? 😋
Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
