Why is it so surprising that a HC and 31 QB praise a layer during TC and then he isn't included in the bulk of the pays during the season? What do you want them to say? That he's a bum. That they wouldn't trust him to catch a cold?
It was TC. None of the stats count. The borderline players get most of the PT when it doesn't count.
Back them I said keeping 7 WRs was ridiculous. There is not way to play them all. Barring injury most of the plays will go to the top 3 receivers. #4 and 5 will get a few plays with the offense. The bottom WRs will be on special teams at best.
Cobb should be fine but the only way GB keeps them all, all season long is if there is an injury that puts 1-2 on IR.
