In looking at the goofy PFF Top 100 Players List and seeing no Aaron Rodgers wasn't a surprise. It actually gave me some respect for this outfit I've railed in the past. Regardless of PFF, Aaron Rodgers was terrible last season.

Once upon a time, not too long ago, I thought Aaron Rodgers was going to go down as the Greatest of All Time. With 2015 now part of his history, I think that's out the window, despite what he does from here on out. Can the greatest of all time really have a season like he had last year and stake claim to the title of best ever? I don't think so.

Is it over for him to be considered the GOAT in your eyes, or is there something he could do to inject himself back into that debate? To me, his playoff record was a big negative but he had time to remedy that one. He can never make up for 2015 in reference to this question, imo. We lost an awful lot last season and Rodgers place among the greats may have been the biggest. His air of greatness is severely damaged.

I'm not sure I can consider any quarterback playing in these rules superior to those of decades ago. I believe a true quarterback is a field general on the field calling the plays and dictating the outcome of the game from the huddle and in the pocket.

I do not think Aaron Rodgers is nor will ever be the greatest quarterback of all time. Let's not mistake that as I want someone else quarterbacking our team, because, emphatically, I do not!

As for the 2015 season, Aaron said he was "probably" most proud of that season because of all of the circumstances and what he and the team overcame. We can (and will) read into that how we choose, of course. Personally, I felt something was wrong with his footwork very early on in the season (wrote bout it too) and I think that combined with the isolated route tree really had the Packers playing with one arm tied behind their back while sitting in a wheel chair with the stoppers locked.

A person's character is determined in what they do when the chips are down, not when things are going well. We lost a road playoff game in overtime with our 5th and 6th wide receivers, and the offense didn't get a chance to touch the ball. 2015 was one of Rodgers' best seasons.

I don't blame our players, I blame the men responsible for providing the talent on the field that we are undermanned against the best teams in our conference. You can also blame coaching for some of our horrific collapses.

But a field general is a guy like Bart Starr who lives the example and wills his team to victory. Not a diva who wants his his own yes man calling plays and sulks like Cutler when his HC stands up to him.

I really could care less about the "greatest of all time" crap. Who cares. I just want Aaron Rodgers to lead the Packers to at least one more Super Bowl victory. I'll leave the pointless and endless debates about who is the "greatest of all time" up to pundits and others with much more free time than myself. I enjoy watching Aaron Rodgers play, and another Super Bowl victory will cement his place in history as a great QB. Who cares about anything beyond that. I could also care less if he ever wins MVP again. I just want a team Super Bowl victory.

AR had an off year. Of course losing your #1 WR and the injuries to most of the ones left, and Lacy being out of shape didn't help at all.
It's like trying to drive a car in a race with 2 flat tires. Do you really blame the driver for not winning the race?
They STILL won 10 games, a playoff game, and almost pulled out the Arizona game.
Imagine if they had been healthy!
In order to win a super bowl, everything has to fall into place.

I very vividly remember people saying that Joe Montana can't be the GOAT, because of his 1986 season, Tom Brady can't be because of his 2013 season, Jerry Rice wasn't that great in '99 and Manning is just average because of his 2001 season.

I like that you don't go with the flow on everything, uffda, but this is absolute gobbledigook. I'm not saying Rodgers is the greatest of all time, but you can't measure a player by a single bad year.

A bad year in which he had close to a 4-to-1 TD-int ratio, almost 4000 yards and 92 QBR.

I like the fiery reply. It's great to see you disagree and why. It's why I posted to see what people thought.

My reaction to what you've posted is that quoting stats in this case means little. We all watched him last season. He wasn't good...and the numbers he posted would lead you to believe he wasn't that bad, but he was. We saw it. You saw it. Just like someone quoting Richard Rodgers stats vs. actually watching him play. Those who saw RR play know he was below pedestrian level but his numbers indicate otherwise.

Does this kill his GOAT aspirations? I think so. His playoff record is already questionable as are his playoff performances. A season like the one past is hard to erase. Yes, I know all the reasons and excuses people have for why things went south. It's garbage. Carolina loses their top WR in Benjamin, and they have a brutal WR corps behind him and they almost post a perfect season and go to the SB. How is that possible? How could Cam Newton lead the Panthers to 15-1 and a SB appearance with his top WR out? Meanwhile, the league MVP loses his top guy and folds like a cheap lawn chair all the while his adoring fans making excuses ala the days of Brett. I'm as big of Aaron Rodgers fan as anyone on this board. I love the guy. However, he was pathetic on many levels last year beyond the patheticness of the excuses being floated for him now.
