We joke a lot about Vikings having no purpose for a trophy case, but I'm thinking this Zimmer guy might make the Vikings moderately relevant for a time coming. I do not think Teddy Bridgewater is the answer at quarterback and that's probably the only thing holding the team back.

Are you over looking for the Vikings or feel the same way?

The Vikings are probably an overall better team than the Packers at this point. But the Packers still have the much better QB, so they should still beat the Vikings. The Packers will need this draft class to be strong to keep pace with the overall talent level, though.

They are much better with Zimmer, Bridgewater, et al, than what they have been. They've put together a couple of good drafts. It might take this year to develop young players, but by next year they should be a force. Much to my chagrin.
