The NFC North doesn't deserve a playoff berth.

The offensive line is pathetic, these guys aren't good enough to step up and take it to another level. What we see is as good as they are going to get.
The defensive front seven is bad and McCarthy is still talking about gap control. We have played 9 games and they are still making the same mistakes which tells me that the coaching is not that good.
The play calling is suspect. When you have an offensive line that can't knock granny off the pot, you can't keep calling slow developing plays.
Penalties are killing us. We are the most penalized team in the NFL.

This team is simply not good enough to be a playoff contender, either in the trenches or on the sidelines.

Don't forget, it's not how you start a season, it's how you finish.

Championships can't be won in Sept. and Oct., (they can be lost:see Lions:),Championships are won in Navember and December.

We can forget about a wild card berth, but if you look at who we have left, we pretty much control our own destiny, that is after Minny loses to TB.

Time for MM to quit playing not to LOSE in the 4th quarter, got to take some chances, how many times this year would 1 sustained drive late in the game changed the outcome?

I am thinking 4.

Even yesterday,as bad as it was, the defense scores twice, Pack up by 3, instead of taking a chance to go for a TD, MM plays it safe and we kick the FG.

Careful time is over, the playoff run starts this Sunday, I'm not throwing in the towel.

IT'S NOT HOW YOU START, IT'S HOW YOU FINISH!!!!!

The Giants were coming together this time last season and winning road games. Packers aren't. I thnk we will win some more games but the playoffs seem out of reach at the moment.

Win next week and the Vikes lose and we are top of our division and 3 teams are 5 - 5.

i've been saying all year since the day the schedule came out this will go right down to the wire , come week 15 all 3 teams will still be in with a shot of winning it , i still think the vikings will win it but there wont be more than 2 games between the three teams come the end imo

This could easily be knotted right back up next week. The vikes go to Tampa, da bares come to us. Us being the Green Bay Packers, confusion due to a certain purple troll you can find riding some clouds just about now.

FWIW- The line is us by 5.5 Vikes are 3.5 point underdogs

We are, but that's only due to our generally poor division. If we don't beat the Bears next week I'd say it's done, but if we do win that game we've got the same chance as either the Bears or Vikes (assuming they lose to Tampa, which I think is definitely possible if Tampa's D comes to play).

But I'm starting to think that the lack along both lines and some 'blah' work from our coordinators is going to spell the end to our season this year.

And if that's the case, I expect to see some things get changed for next year. Starting with the coordinators (I'd like to see us actually make a run for a serious D coordinator, for one, and ditch the ZBS or Philbin altogether for another), and moving on to the lines, both in terms of personnel and schemes. I don't care if Brett would have made this O-line look better, it's a crappy O-line and he's not here anymore -- we need to figure out a way to get consistent holes opened up for Grant and we damn well need to figure out a way to keep Rodgers' jersey clean.

We've got serious, freakish talent at the skill positions -- we need to support that talent in the trenches, period.

We can still make the playoffs this year, but even if we do, there's stuff that needs fixin'.

Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
