I don't think the majority of Packer fans need Uncle Teddy to sign 3-4 players for bank busting numbers. But it is frustrating the his staff doesn't even bother to pick up the phone and ask the agent what they are looking for or what the guys health is or what is his favorite color.
To imply doing ones due diligence is panicking or chasing ghosts or whatever he wants to call it is insulting , arrogant and plain old stupid on his part.
If Teddy thinks for one moment that his philosophy would work this well with his qb he isn't 1/4 of the gm he pretends to be.

Packers just hosted Jared Cook for a visit. If we sign him, he'll be playing with a decent quarterback for the first time in his career.

I hope we do sign him. I'm in favor of this. He was released, so won't cost us a compensatory pick. Plus, if Ted drafts a guy this Spring, it will take a year for a rookie to get up to speed anyway.
