Think this serves as a cautionary tale against overboard free agent spending, not necessarily a level of spending above and beyond what Ted has done in recent years. Know that's not what's implied, just wanted to explicitly state a middle ground.

I'd say spend wisely Ted Thompson. I'd prefer the rest spend like drunken sailors and spend all their money.

Not one Packer fan I know wanted to splurge in free agency.

Many Packer fans I know, however, are tired of relying solely on the draft when gaping holes at Safety & backup QB in 2013, inside linebacker in 2014, 2015 (and 2016?), and TE in 2014 & 2015 (and 2016) go unaddressed. TT's Packers are the only NFL team who appear to think that filling a need through free agency or a trade is somehow dirty.

Oh well, let's sign Raji, Neal, Quarrels, Kuhn -- bring the gang all back and see where the draft takes us.
