OLB might be a greater need, but OT is a much thinner position in this draft. Ted might wanna do the boring thing and grab a swing T.

OK, let's here some actual names here. Who are those Slippery Rock or Ball State or U of Miami (OHIO) that Ted Thompson is looking at this year ?

Who do you like ? and Why ?

I'm not going to bite on names quite yet as we are talking Ted Thompson here but he has not gone "big" early in the last couple of drafts so I think he goes OL or DL in two of the first three rounds if the right guys name pops up.

Out of 17 picks in the last two drafts he's only selected 3 total OL and DL and none in the first two rounds (and only Khyri Thornton in the 3d in '14).

Time for some quality beef!

2nd pick I'd pick the best WR available.

Early on I think BPA weighted toward Edge, DT, OT, LB. If a really good offensive playmaker falls to us it wouldn't bother me. I don't think NT is a big need early since it's mostly a part time player in this defense.

I like it Nerd, but I do feel like you're not giving enough love to one of my favourites.

The more I think about the Packers picking Vernon Butler, the more I'm beginning to like it. If we can get him at 27 and have the luxury of brining him in slowly behind Guion, we might just have one of the best NTs in the league in a year or two. He's got that much potential.

Still, I can see how you placed him a notch below Billings. I think both can become serious players in the NFL, but for our defense especially, though, Butler should be the pick. He's a biggish NT, but due to his athleticism and pass rushing skills, he has the ability to play five technique, as well. Or, in our defense, he'd be a perfect fit for our 2-man d-line and should be abl to get on the field in every package.

Nice job nerd.
Can't comment too much on college players. I will say for the most part I hate tweeners. They don't really seem to fit anywhere. That is not to say that I don't like players who are so athletic that they are able to play more than one position or in more than one formation.
