Exactly! You can't put much on the D when the offense is lucky to move the sticks. If you punt from your 20 yard line or worse - you are not only sending the D right back out with little rest, but often a short field to defend. One phase of the game playing well can aid the other 2, but you aren't going to win championships without all 3 doing their jobs.

Once the Packers defense shows it can control playoff offenses, perhaps then I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise, they have been destroyed in every game in which they have faced an upper-tier QB (500+ yards/game). It's been that way for years, and it's a trend I don't see ending this season, even if the offense was playing better.
The defense has looked better at times this year, but it is still not good enough, and would not be good enough unless the Packers had one of the best offenses in the league, ie the Packers offense would have to carry them to a Championship. The likes of Tom Brady, Carson Palmer, Cam Newton, Ben Roethlisberger, and likely even Russell Wilson and a few others would shred this defense in the playoffs, imo. I'm sure Romo would have shredded them, as well.
