The 12mil signing bonus will be spread out over the length of the contract.

We will have to wait for all the final details, I'm betting the cap hit for next year will be in the 6 to 8 mil range.

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

12 million of that is Signing bonus. 2.4 million of which is credited this year which is why they are saying 15 months. So that is 10 million guaranteed next year through salary and Roster Bonuses. Haven't seen that much detail yet. Which makes his contract more friendly in years in 2 or 3 years down the road.

This is how Ted has been handling contracts to keep us in such good cap shape.

as far as im concerned well earned, i like daniels, he just needs to keep his head steady, he seems to be a hothead at times which could cost us penaltys !!

I don't like how much he's costing (then again I rarely do) but comparing the other DL making in that range and I think the Packers got a slightly under the market deal (unless people would be scared off by his lack of length/height and limiting where he's most effective (3 technique DT, but most teams (both 3-4 and 4-3) need good 3 technique DLs.

And Daniels is one the field for a larger % than any of the other Packers DL, they rotate out a lot more than Daniels.
