Coaches quiet about play-calling responsibilities

The speculation about a potential recoup of the play-calling duties by Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy began last week during a disheartening loss to the Denver Broncos. But Monday came and went with McCarthy remaining coy during his news conference at Lambeau Field.

There are things that the public doesn't need to know, most notably free scouting reports for an opponent.

As far as the play calling, those complaints are still missing the boat. Horrendous pass pro, AR either checking from or missing wide open WRs, RR jogging and dropping balls, Lacy - well, who the hell knows what his problem is. This is execution.

The part about McCarthy being seen with the play calling card ... he's been holding that for quite a few games now. He joked that he didn't know what to do with his hands without holding that playing card/sheet. I want to say he started holding that around the 3rd or 4th game.

From another story, Alex Van Pelt will be on the sidelines now instead of the coaches box. This is something Aaron Rodgers has been vocal about that he NEEDS to be coached and WANTS to be coached and says it is more efficient from the sideline than the box.
