McCarthy coming out of the BYE week

The Packers under Mike McCarthy have been 8 - 1 coming out of the BYE week. The one loss came against the Titans during the 2008 season, which was Aaron Rodgers first season as Packers starter. Titans went 13 - 3 that year after starting out 10 - 0 while the Packers finished 6 - 10.

The Packers (5 - 1) played @Broncos (3 - 3) during the 2007 season on Week 8 coming off their Week 7 BYE. Broncos had their BYE on Week 6.

Great post. I have a good feeling about the Packers this week. They have shown a lot of toughness these past several weeks.

There definitely is not as much talent on offense as in seasons past, but there defense seems to be stepping up. Tackling has been better across the board. There have been less blown coverages and miscommunications.

Penalties also seem to be down, though I do not have specific stats to back this up.

The Packers are 2.5 point favorites this week, and I suspect will also be favored next week @ Carolina.
