Sam Barrington out for season?

Well, this cannot be a good thing. Nate Palmer and Jake Ryan are going to have to step up their game. I suppose this means no one has to be cut to add Datone Jones.

ILB Nick Barnett was lost for the season in 2010 in the fourth game. I'm not worried.

It sucks, but honestly to me Barrington didn't have a particularly strong preseason. Obviously Barrington's biggest asset was stopping the run but if it means seeing what Palmer and Ryan can do with some extended snaps, I'm down for that as well. And yeah, it pretty much makes it easy getting Jones on the active 53 without having to cut anybody.

Seriously though I'm assuming this means Bradford gets called up from the P/S at some point? If not does Mulumba get some snaps in at ILB behind Palmer and Ryan?

Whether it's Palmer or Ryan who ultimately ends up replacing Barrington, it will not be a shared position.

That position calls for the player to be on the field all 3 downs.

Probably means Clay will be playing a lot more inside.

Who know, anybody notice Peppers moved inside a couple of times?

Dom will work his magic with the players he has.

I'm not worried about the ILB position any more than I have been for a long time.
I think either Palmer or Ryan will be better by midseason than Barrington would have been.
Barrington wasn't that good and didn't have all that much experience.

In the scope of the whole ILB situation in Green Bay this is not a huge loss.

There was about 60 snaps Sunday and Barrington played in about 16 of them.

Another of those R - E - L - A - X situations.

I thought Barrington had a Great preseason and that Palmer is basically mediocre. Just the same, the team will be fine. We could win every game 49-42, and I'd be happy. Capers will find a way, though, to compensate for one more personnel deficiency.
