You get the Jones hate from people who want the young, inexperienced guys, who are prone to making mistakes to get the chance to make those mistakes on the playing field with the game on the line while they are developing. Sure he ran the wrong route, the ball was intercepted and and we lost the game but just think how much he developed on that play.
You get the Jones hate from people who look at the inopportune drops he had early in his career and continue to say crap like "he can't catch the ball" or "he drops way too many passes." Of course they disregard the fact that he has greatly reduced his number of drops, the fact that he didn't really drop that many just that he dropped a few really big ones, and that their heroes (Jordy Nelson for example) have also dropped some pretty big passes in their career.
You get the Jones hate from people who think that just because he was cut from two teams that means he is washed up and can't possibly be of any help. They disregard the numerous posts that point out all the good reasons why he may have been cut by those teams and why they do not necessarily apply to the Packers situation.
And of course you get the Jones hate because, as you said, he's always had his haters.
