They're calling plays to evaluate talent, not to win games. The amount of times they went for it on 4th down is just one obvious example of this. You really can't gain much from August aside from individual performance evals.

That said, I still hope the Pack kicks the $hit out of the Bears.

As a reformed Bears fan of 40 + years I hope you're right
