I heard he got punched by a LB for refusing to pay back $600 he borrowed from the guy. Got a broken jaw for his troubles, and will miss 6 to 10 weeks.
The LB was wrong for punching him, and got canned by the Jets. But man......a multi millionaire QB refusing to pay back a $600 loan???? Smith is an IDIOT. When I first heard about it, I felt sorry for him. But after I heard WHY he got smacked, I no longer feel much pity for him.
Not much of a team leader, if you ask me.

Assuming the above is correct, two multimillionaires just fucked each other over $600: one with a broken jaw and the other out of a job and facing potential criminal charges.

Edit: Bills picked the LB up so no longer out of a job.

Yup. You can't punch someone because he "dissed" you.
Can you see something like that happening on the Packers?

Maybe Geno is dumb or absent minded, but I fail to see how one could not consider this being purposely disrespectful as Geno is a millionaire and should have paid him back.

I know some people are going to disagree with me on this, but where I come from, if your in verbal dispute with someone and you put your hands on them then you better be ready for fist to fly. Even if you're not disrespecting them, arguing with them and touching them fist might fly.

Add in the purposeful disrespectfulness and the fact that he owes him money... and to be truthful I really don't have any problem with the punch. Smith was a huge d!ck on purpose and seemed to be attempting to disrespect and embarrass him in front of all the teammates. Someone needed to give Smith a wake up call that he's not untouchable.... and while yes it would of been much better if one of the veterans or coaches took control and taught Smith how to be smart and a good teammate... but none of them did. So Smith had to learn the lesson in a different way (the hard way). Hopefully Smith isn't such a jerk to teammates going forward.

Smith “was up in (Enemkpali’s) face and pointed/touched his face,” according to a source.

“Geno deserved it,” another source said.

“That’ll get a man hit every time, especially one that hasn’t earned respect,” a source said.
