If not the toe injury, then what's keeping Josh Sitton out?

Supposedly it's nothing and they are just letting him chill, limiting him during camp so he's fresh for the season.

I think Sitton has already told all of us during last year training camp... it's his back (I'm guessing).

He's got back issues which are painful but he ignores to play the game. But as he gets older they're getting harder to ignore... so Sitton and the Packers are trying to maximum him by letting him sit out more, and limited his reps more and more like they have done over the last two years. As long as once game time comes he's the great Sitton they know, then they're happy and that has been the case for the most part.

Edit: I've also have wondered if that back injury could lead to him retiring sooner than fans expect as they keep forgetting he has a back problem or issue. That or when/if he drops off, he could drop off pretty fast if he's struggling with the pain.

At age 28 and entering his seventh NFL season, the Packers are taking every precaution possible to keep Sitton's oft-sore back from becoming problematic. His reps in the team periods have decreased only slightly compared to his near nonexistent presence in the one-on-one drills.

"I'm always dealing with a back issue, so it's just being smart," the 6-foot-3, 318-pound Sitton said. "There's no point in getting there and … one-on-ones, it's going to be a guy bull-rushing me, and I don't need that right now.
