I think Montgomery sticks as the 3rd RB, possibly opening a spot for Abby and Janis, unless Coxson or that other guy break though.

Also I think Thornton's a NT, still has a shot to make the team.

The biggest battle could be at ILB, but it isn't even mentioned in the article. Lotta guys in the mix there. I like Barrington and Nate Palmer. But haven't seen much of Palmer on the field.

Assuming Abbrederis is healthy, I don't see them not taking at least 6 WRs. I agree about Montgomery getting work at RB, but I think they still keep 3 others.

I think they try to keep Ripkowski on the practice squad this season - undoubtedly Kuhn's last.

The two O Linemen mentioned in the article, I don't think we keep either on the 53 man roster - maybe Rotheram on the practice squad and Taylor gone. O Linemen are very little help on most special teams, and 7 on the 53 would seem to be enough.

There will be more spots than usual used for DBs. I think maybe they keep both of the two mentioned: Gunter and Banjo.

I hope it doesn't come down to a choice between Boyd and Thornton, but if they are dead set on keeping Raji, it probably will. I wouldn't be surprised to see those two retained and either Guion or Pennell cut also.

Two of my favorite prospects are Adrian Hubbard and Jayrone Elliot. I sincerely hope they and maybe Mulumba beat out players like Perry and Palmer.

I think whatever position Montgomery is labeled as will be a mere formality. I think he'll end up like Sproles/Bush: an offensive weapon who you can line up anywhere and is good for 10-15 touches a game who can return on ST. If he can learn how to pick up blitzes and pass pro, we could have a real good 3rd down back.

ILB should be interesting to watch. Palmer and Bradford are complete unknowns outside of encouraging (though very small) sample sizes in preseason.
