I guess I've said all this before, but Addition by Subtraction is one key - NOT having A.J. Hawk and Brad Jones starting or even on the team is a big step up from a year ago. Secondly, moving Clay Matthews to the Inside on most downs was a gem of a move that should definitely continue. Clay seemed to slip just a bit at OLB, but he was outstanding at ILB. As I have also said elsewhere, I'd like to see at least Jayrone Elliot and maybe others cross-trained similarly in case Matthews gets hurt. Barrington is more than adequate if paired with an equal or better partner at ILB; I also have hope for Adrian Hubbard and maybe even Mulumba at ILB, as well as possibly the rookie.
DB was also mentioned. I could see that also being a step upward with the top two draft picks. Tramon was still good, but not quite what he used to be, and House was borderline decent. With any luck at all, Randall and Rollins should both be better than both who left. Also, HaHa should be better his second year even though he was decent last year.
