He's a good lead blocker, carries out his assignments and has a repetoire with our most important player.... And we're paying him less than a million. Seems like a great signing to me.

I just want a fullback making pancake blocks. All Kuhn has ever been to me is a lunch pail mediocre player.

That's why they will get all excited about some UDFA when they see a you tube video showing him making some great plays that were cherry picked from over his entire career or at least an entire season. Pretty much every college athlete with half the talent to be in the NFL will have half a dozen of those plays and you can put together a HL reel for any of them.

That's why they get all excited when a player makes two or three great plays in the preseason and yet can't seem to find the field during the regular season. They don't see what the coaches see in practice every day which is what probably matter more than the occasional fluke big play especially when it comes against guys who will be looking for work once the season starts.

Granted not all fans feel or act this way, some can see around it but for many its the big plays that make the guy talented.

A lot of "applaud" worthy posts in this thread!
I also don't care if Kuhn knocks a guy 5 yards back on one play, then he wiffs on the next and Rodgers gets creamed.
Kuhn just blocks, and protects AR and the RB. THAT is what is important.

Not sure how that offends you.

I never once insinuated that I was offended. But since Ted came around, can we get a count on how many of those guys turned into something?

I'm still amazed that people are stooping so low as to call Brett something other than his name, intentionally as if they are cute or clever or funny. To an outsider, we fans must look like real ungrateful idiots.

Then again ....

Aaron Kampman is the one I really don't get. There was a stretch where he was one of the best pass rushers in the league but I'm sure that had nothing to do with why fans liked him. But I guess your theory explains why everyone loved a guy like Ricky Elmore but never got excited for players like Jayrone Elliott, oh wait the exact opposite happened.

Maybe there is some element that fits into what you are talking about but I haven't seen any of it around here and I don't think it's so prevalent that it's even an actual "thing". More like you are just making shit up to have something to stir around. You want to complain about that you should go find somewhere where that actually exists and bitch to those guys about it.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
