GREEN BAY, Wis. — After making subtractions to their linebacker group last month, the Green Bay Packers have made an addition.
They signed street free-agent Josh Francis on Thursday.
It's his first time with an NFL team.
Francis (6-foot, 238 pounds) played two seasons at West Virginia (2011-2012), where he started 13 of 21 games. In 2012, he led the Mountaineers with 15 tackles for loss.
After failing to land with an NFL team out of college, Francis played in the Canadian Football League in 2014 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and in the Indoor Football League in 2015 with Wichita Falls Nighthawks.
